Women's Advocate
Picture
A Women's Advocate is a specially-trained workplace representative who assists women with concerns, such as workplace harassment, intimate violence, abuse, suicide prevention, depression, pregnancy, stress, separation and divorce.

Your advocate is someone who can listen and help. She will give support and won't judge. She can help if you are facing violence or abuse in your relationship, are experiencing sexual harassment in the workplace or need the help of community resources.

The Women's Advocate is not a counsellor but rather is there to listen, provide support and offer information for women accessing community and workplace resources.

These specially-trained, easy-to-contact workplace representatives have been instrumental in creating healthier workplaces and safer communities. She works closely with management, ensuring strong cooperation to achieve this goal.

One of the best tools that the Union has to prevent violence against women and workplace harassment is the Women's Advocate Program.
