PACIFIC YOUNG WORKER'S COMMITTEE - P.Y.W.C.
Young Worker's Committees around the globe have historically been inspired by a growing push to meaningfully engage young union members with the goal of education and activism. They also provide an opportunity to work with other progressive organizations to bring about peace, social justice, a healthy and sustainable environment, and, more generally, to improve the lives of working people.
Young Worker's Conferences educate and empower young members to best represent their union on the jobsite or at the workplace. Young Worker's Committee members have held successful Labour Day events, charity tournaments, food/toy/clothing drives, organizing campaigns and so much more!
Unifor, Canada's largest private-sector union comprising members from nearly every section of our economy, has become a source of optimism and inspiration that a fairer, more secure future can be won for working people, that unions can adapt to changing times, and remain a relevant voice for workplace and social justice. We are committed to paving the way for the future of our union! |
The P.Y.W.C. is about organizing our young membership at the grassroots level and building camaraderie and solidarity to ensure our future with all of our Brothers and Sisters in the labour movement!
ASK yourself the following questions:
