Scotiabank Aids Walk, September 21, 2014

Once again the Unifor Locals are coming together to support and participate in a local, community beneficial cause that we as the former CAW have taken part in for several years. This is Canada's most important HIV/AIDS fundraising and awareness event, involving cities and communities across Canada.
Funds raised go to support local services and programs assisting those who are living with, affected by, or are at risk for HIV/AIDS. Over 45 communities participate in the Walk and have raised over 1.86 million for community based AIDS Service Organizations.
Unifor must step up, take part and show our support for a cause that touches so many lives, not only for that of our
Brothers and Sisters, but that of our families, our friends and our communities.
Committee members and LGBT Representatives from the following Locals 111, 3000, 2200, 2002 and 114 are asking that each of our Locals make a contribution to Team Unifor to assist in our effort to raise funds for such an important and necessary cause.
Team Unifor will be participating in the walk on September 21, and invite all Unifor Members to come down, walk with us, show your support and be a part of the community in this the 29th year of this annual event.
